OUR OPPORTUNITY
We recruit, train, and hire teens
experiencing social and academic challenges
to serve as tutors for elementary school
students facing challenges of their own. The
result is improved literacy for both the
students and their tutors.
OUR APPROACH
Using proven, research-based techniques,
our teens are given the tools they need to
break text down, identify key components
and guide the students they tutor towards
greater comprehension.
OUR PROGRAMS
Over the past 10 years, we’ve worked with more than 700 participants through four programs designed to develop confident readers and capable leaders.
